Question by realreynolds: Can a real estate broker and a lawyer start a real estate company together?
My fiance is considering becoming licensed to sell real estate. I am a first year law student. I have learned a little about real estate transactions and how they work. I understand the roles of both the broker and the attorney, but I’m wondering if my husband-to-be and I will be able to use our skills together to start our own business. Will I have to have a separate practice, or can the real estate lawyer be a part of the broker’s company?

If you have ever thought about investing in real estate, now is the time.
You may be thinking that since the real estate market is in the tank at the moment, this can’t possibly be a good time to get into this market. But you couldn’t be more wrong! Everyone wants to be successful, and making enough money to live the type of life they’ve dreamt of. But how many of those people who talk about making more money are actually doing it? Look around you. How many people do you know right now that talk a good game, but are still struggling financially?
Some of the best‐kept secrets aren’t those held close to the vest, known only to a select few. Those tend to be the secrets that eventually get out – one way or another. Whether whispered to a private confidante and then repeated for the world to hear or quietly passed from one person to the next, the best way to ensure that something is known to one and all is to attach the word “secret” to it. If you’re really interested in keeping a secret, tell everybody you know as publicly as possible.
Question by MP3: How to get start in Real Estate Investing?
I have been doing research about real estate investing and have a few questions about the process. Is the first thing I need a broker, banker, or a seller? Do I need to see mortgage company or can I just take a loan out form the bank? What kind of down payment do you need? Does anyone have any information about tax break, cuts, or property taxes regarding real estate. Any additional information would be helpful, I’m still in a learning phase.
Question by dfa: Can a job as a commercial Real Estate agent teach you about the other aspects of CRE as well?
My ultimate goal is to become a developer. I thought that starting out as an agent would teach me the ins and outs of the field and (hopefuly) make me enough money to develop something. Is this a realistic approach?
